TBA Accounting Student Scholarship Program – Who Can Apply?
The duration of the scholarship program shall be a maximum of three years and available to students who:

Are classified as residents of Texas
- Are enrolled at a participating college or university in Texas, including the five community colleges (Austin Community College, Houston Community College, Lone Star College, Dallas College – Mountain View campus, and San Antonio College) that offer a comprehensive accounting and business program that meets the education requirements of the Board
- Are enrolled at least half-time majoring in accounting and attending consecutive semesters or in the final semester of the degree
- Have filed an Application of Intent to take the CPA examination with the Board
- Have completed 15 semester hours of upper level accounting coursework at the beginning of the term in which the award is being made
- Are deemed to be making satisfactory academic progress
- Have registered for the Selective Service or are exempt from this requirement
- Demonstrate financial need
- Have not met the education requirements for certification in Texas as a CPA
